I know there are a lot of critics about the debut S/S 2012 women's collection from Kanye West. And a lot of these critics have the fashion credentials to do so. But to me, a Yeezy fan and just a fan of fashion [the good, the bad and the ugly] I still found some looks worth giving a Hi-Five. Yes, yes, yes...I can see that there are "references" and a half to many noted and established designers; many of whom *K-Dub is a fan himself. I figure, he's a hip hop star and don't they often indulge in sampling to create their hits? Anyway, cut him some slack. He's a beginner.
Here are my Hi-Fives.....
L: Neckline? Tick. Zipper detail? Tick. Odd tribal/inuit/padded collar shoes? Forgiveable.
R: Fur backback? Totally do-able. Bambi? Makes that basic dress the hotness.

L: Cutaway sides. Sturdy fabric. Love it.
R: Hooded sheerness.

*KW/K-Dub: There are a few of these initials flying about in the design world. Karen Walker, Kathryn Wilson, Kanye West. May have to change my name and join the K-Dub Club as they are obviously the initials of success.

Yay something positive to read about his debut collection. You picked some goodies. There is nothing wrong with a touch of fur for S/S right...
