What I've Worn: The Abercrombie & Fitch Revival

Today was The Boyfriend's birthday and with no idea how to top the engraved machete he received for Father's Day 2011 or the Warwick bass for Christmas, I went with the 'Photobook of Manly Endeavours' - a photographic journey of all his beloved spearfishing pursuits and other 'I'm a manly man' related activities. Like wearing crayfish as hats, obligatory middle finger shots or photoshopped images of 'Fish I've Speared Who Look Like Celebrities'. The kingfish that embodied Hugh Hefner and Grendyl's love child is my personal fave.

Suffice to say, it went down a treat.

Thank god I didn't go with the wall dominating glamour portrait of myself draped in chiffon buck-naked and all  soft focused like. Or the Cow-Girl option for that matter. You know the one that lurks on lounge room feature walls or entrance ways making you double take then awkwardly avoid eye-contact with the 'model' when you pop over for a cuppa tea? The one you can't stop staring at because it's such an unfortunate image? I dub it 'The Debbie'.

In other news, two words: Abercrombie & Fitch. I've said it before and I'll say it again - it's due for a revival. And I have two more for your Wednesday: nineties burgundy. Most have been riding this wagon of claret-toned goodness for months and months. Whilst I very much wanted to jump aboard with gusto, I have spent months and months hunting the best pieces  [far and few, I can report], to 'pull the trigger on' as someone would say. I think I've found my boarding pass in this A&F sweatshirt from General Issue.
wearing: Karen Walker cap, ASOS Premium men's shirt, Elizabeth&James metallic shorts, TopShop socks and ASOS metallic brogues.
